How long will it take to install a new drive?

An average installation will take 7 to 10 days, weather permitting.

Is it necessary to have a skip outside my property?

Generally yes. This is needed to remove the dug out material. It is either sited on or outside your property with the appropriate permits obtained.

How can I pay for my new driveway?

We accept cash or bank transfer. Our terms are 10% deposit on booking with 40% payable on dig out/preparation, 40% on concrete pour and final 10% on completion.

Would you recommend a patterned imprinted concrete driveway over a block paved driveway?

The main advantages of pattern imprinted concrete driveways over block paving are that they will not sink or spread and are weed and moss free. In addition to that they are virtually maintenance free.

How can I remove a stain from my patterned imprinted drive?

You can usually remove stains from your driveway with warm soapy water.

My driveway has gone dull, how do I have it resealed?

We recommend that your driveway is resealed every 3 to 5 years. Leicester Cobble can offer you a complete maintenance package for your driveway.

I’ve chipped my concrete drive. What can I do to repair it?

Surface repairs can be carried out to repair your driveway but need to be undertaken by our experienced engineers.

We already have an imprinted driveway, can we add another section to it?

Yes that is possible. Although the colour match may not be exact if it was a multiblend or was installed by another company as pigments may vary. But we will do our best to get a perfect match.

My driveway is on a slope, will it be slippy when it is wet?

Leicester Cobble add a slip-resistant agent to our sealant as standard, whereas you would usually have to pay extra with other companies.

Do I have to have expansion joints in my driveway?

Concrete expands and contracts in different temperatures, so expansion joints help to allow this to happen without damaging the structure of your driveway. We do always try to hide them as much as possible and the joints are sealed with a colour matched silicone.
